Meet Mark Murnane

Director & Principal Solicitor

I was raised on dairy farming country in Warrnambool, Victoria.

I would say that is where my work ethic comes from. There is no day off in dairy farming, and you have to be agile. In becoming a lawyer, I have realised how important this flexibility is to my clients. They require an approachable lawyer who can fit in with them, and not the other way around.

I am an Australian Legal Practitioner, practicing in the areas of Estate Law.

Before founding Murnane Legal, I gained invaluable experience working at suburban and CBD law firms, including a National Wills and Probate firm. Working exclusively in Estate Law gave me vast experience in all Australian jurisdictions in the Estate Law area. I also enjoy reading and keeping myself updated with the latest Estate case law, legislation and trends.

Too often, I see people die intestate (without a Will) or die with an informal or poorly drafted Will.

These people have spent their lifetime working hard, only to pass away without a Will that meets their proper wishes to leave a lasting legacy to their loved ones. Many probably did not realise their Estate Planning was inadequate. This drives me to educate my clients and empower them to be well-prepared.

I try to speak in plain language, not legal jargon.

I bring a pragmatic, realistic approach to my client’s Estate Planning needs. I determine my client’s wishes and advise them on Estate case law and legislative frameworks. I address those knowledge gaps that clients need to be aware of, such as what moral obligations may apply to them. From Bespoke Wills and Power of Attorney to Testamentary Trusts, I work to create the best outcome for every client to give them the peace of mind they are looking for.
